Tis’ the season for days dedicated to shopping and spending. Why not shop and spend your money with a cause and organization you’re passionate about?

We’d like to give you three ways to go green today.

• Give your time. There is no way we could operate without our volunteers. We have more than 500 people who volunteer their time and energy with us every year. We love and appreciate them so much. Considering volunteering with us! Whether your passion is removing buffelgrass, interacting with our animals, educating the public on our important conservation work, or working with the Art Institute, you are welcome to the Desert Museum volunteer family.

• Give your voice. We can’t spread the word about the work we are doing without you. We need your help. Tell your Desert Museum story! You can share your special stories and photographs on Facebook, Twitter, and Instagram. Make sure to tag us at @Arizona-Sonora Desert Museum. We love seeing these moments! If you have a tantalizing tale, but don’t use social media – feel free to email Kat to share your Desert Museum moment (or your desert diary entry!).

• Give your dollars. Every dollar that you give helps keep our gates open, feeds our animals and plants, helps educate millions of people every year, and funds important conservation work. Other fun ways to support the Museum today include: adopting a hummingbird (no, you can’t take them home 😊), gifting someone an ASDM or Coati Kids Club membership, or making a restricted donation to a certain project.
